There's still time to join and help raise more
than $1 million for nature and
wildlife
TORONTO, April 20,
2024 /CNW/ - Thousands of people will conquer the CN
Tower's 1,776 steps this weekend as part of WWF's annual CN Tower
Climb for Nature. Together, WWF-Canada and climbers aim to raise
more than $1 million for wildlife
conservation over two days.
Though Saturday's climb is sold out, people in the GTA and
beyond who wish to take on the 144-floor challenge can still
register to climb on Sunday at
wwf.ca/cntower.

WHO:
- Megan Leslie, WWF-Canada president and CEO.
- Scott Sandison, WWF-Canada VP of Community & Legacy
Giving and former Team Canada Olympian.
- Mikhail Grabovski, former Toronto Maple Leaf will be
climbing with his kids to fight for a climate where people,
wildlife and hockey can thrive.
- 6,000+ other climbers, including a winged architect
climbing for the 31st time; WWF's 2023 fastest female champion back
to defend her title, and a professional athlete and leg amputee.

SATURDAY, APRIL
20
- 5:30 a.m. Media desk opens at base of CN
Tower.
- 6 a.m. Climbers start up the tower.
- 8 a.m. Megan Leslie
climbs the CN Tower.
- 10 a.m. Last climber enters the tower.
- 11 a.m. Last of the climbers should have cleared
the tower.
SUNDAY, APRIL
21
- 5:30 a.m. Media desk opens at the base of CN
Tower.
- 6 – 6:30 a.m. Elite Climbers (competitive
climbers) will vie for the fastest time up the CN Tower.
- Elite Climbers will be available for interviews at the top
of the tower from 6:30-7 a.m.
- 7 – 10 a.m. Individual climbers start up the
tower.
- 10 a.m. Last climber enters the tower.
- 11 a.m. Last of the climbers have cleared the
tower.
Please note that all media will be required to sign
security waiver forms. Forms will be available at the media desk in
the base of the tower.
We will do our best to accommodate interviews throughout
the weekend. For a photo-op or interview with a specific climber,
please contact WWF-Canada to arrange in advance.
