A Woman Seen Relieved After Her Tesla Model Y Rolls Over 7 Times & Jumps Over Several Vehicles on the Air – Video Captures the Horrifying Accident & Shows Why Teslas Are the Safest Vehicles
A video shows a Model Y in a rollover accident, flying over several vehicles on a city street. Luckily, the passengers only sustained minor injuries, with one occupant even seen using his smartphone while still inside the wrecked Model Y.
Certain websites seem to be spinning this as proof that Teslas are the safest vehicles due to the good crash protections employed in Teslas. However they never address the fact that you're more likely to get into an accident in the first place because youre in a Tesla. So yes, Teslas may have really good protections to keep you alive and/or ok, assuming the car doesnt entomb you and burn you alive, the larger problem is that Teslas will put you in situations that you'll need these protections. These are the sorts of features you want to have but never utilize. However Teslas will make it more likely to put these features to use. Is it worth it?

US Spies See China, Russia Militaries Working Closer on Taiwan
(Bloomberg) -- US intelligence officials assess that Russia and China are working more closely together on military issues, including a potential invasion of Taiwan, prompting new planning across the government to counter a potential scenario in which the countries fight in coordination.
“We see China and Russia, for the first time, exercising together in relation to Taiwan and recognizing that this is a place where China definitely wants Russia to be working with them, and we see no reason why they wouldn’t,” Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines said Thursday in testimony to Congress.
At somepoint China will go for Taiwan. Where will that leave Tesla? Without Shanghai and without that FSD data if it ever gets approval to export that data. Didnt stop funds from pumping TSLA on news of possible China FSD approval...something easy to get according to Reuters. Anything positive pertaining to China should be taken with a grain of salt. Still have to see how things with TikTok play out.

Driver Found Dead at Scene of Tesla Crash in West Covina
Little more detail on the Solo Tesla accident in West Covina.
A Tesla slammed into a power pole, dropping live power lines down on the crash scene Thursday.
So the Tesla driving down Orange Ave and suddenly veers into a power pole. You can see the skid marks indicating this Tesla was going at a high rate of speed when it suddenly veered into the pole. Given the loss of at least the passenger side tires, did this Tesla experience Whompy wheel issue along with SUA? That could explain the sudden veering as the off kilter tire should have pulled the Tesla in a direction.

The computer errors from outer space
When computers go wrong, we tend to assume it's just some software hiccup, a bit of bad programming. But ionising radiation, including rays of protons blasted towards us by the sun, can also be the cause. These incidents, called single-event upsets, are rare and it can be impossible to be sure that cosmic rays were involved in a specific malfunction because they leave no trace behind them.
And yet they have been singled out as the possible culprits behind numerous extraordinary cases of computer failure. From a vote-counting machine that added thousands of non-existent votes to a candidate's tally, to a commercial airliner that suddenly dropped hundreds of feet mid-flight, injuring dozens of passengers
Plus, since giant ejections from the sun can sometimes send huge waves of particles towards Earth, what's called space weather, an unnerving prospect looms: we could see much more disruption to computers than we're used to during a massive geomagnetic storm in the future
EVs are just computers on wheels!

Hutchison Effect & Teslas Whompy Wheel issue
Jain is one of tens of thousands of Tesla owners who have experienced premature failures of suspension or steering parts, according to a Reuters review of thousands of Tesla documents. The chronic failures, many in relatively new vehicles, date back at least seven years and stretch across Tesla’s model lineup and across the globe, from China to the United States to Europe, according to the records and interviews with more than 20 customers and nine former Tesla managers or service technicians.
https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/tesla-musk-steering-suspension/
The exact cause of the Hutchison Effect is unknown in public spheres as it is classified under national security. However the most likely culprit seems to be a combination of electromagnetic sources coming together in a way to change the makeup of metals leading to their rusting, softening, fracturing, complete breaking, even dustification. Keep in mind the degree of metal materials that are within our buildings and infrastructure...even in concrete. Maybe this is why we are seeing an increase in building and bridge collapses?

Bear of the Day: Tesla (TSLA)
By: Zacks Investment Research | May 3, 2024
Tesla (TSLA) became a Zacks #5 Rank again on April 12 when shares were still trading above $170 and estimates were still dropping ahead of the EV maker's Q1 report on Tuesday 4/23.
My colleague Shaun Pruitt described the situation in his April 15 article...
In the two months prior, the Zacks EPS Consensus fell over 20% from $3.44 to $2.73.
And next year plunged nearly 24% from $4.61 to $3.52.
These downward analyst revisions ahead of the company report cause TSLA shares to drop under $140 on Monday 4/22, the eve of judgment day.
But with the news on 4/23 the market seemed to breathe a collective sigh of relief that things were not worse than delivered.
While investors have been debating the company numbers, statements, and plans, here we'll just focus on why TSLA shares will remain in the cellar of the Zacks Rank.
Since the report, this year's EPS projection has fallen to $2.48, representing a 20% annual drop in profits.
Investors knew that Tesla was aggressively cutting the prices of its cars to gain dominant position in the EV market.
What they might not have counted on was how hard it would be for the top maker to also cut costs.
What's Ahead
The faithful got a welcome surprise this past Monday when it was announced that China was ready to partner with Full-Self Driving (FSD) initiatives.
This shot TSLA shares back above $190. But it remains to be seen if this is a near-term driver in 2024 of sales and profits.
As many debates rage about the best strategic moves for Tesla going forward -- FSD, the charging network, China imperatives -- the stock will likely remain hostage to the sales growth outlook tempered strongly by the profit metrics.
Since the profit peak in 2022, every quarter that goes by without a stabilization of net income gives investors reason to believe that the EV revolution of mass adoption may be farther away than they once believed.

He certainly behaves like a con man but i do think his intentions are good despite putting the greater public at risk with his companies glitchy tech. My opinion is that the world needs to depend LESS on technology not more and use tech to achieve that! Technocracy will not save us but hasten our demise.
In a previous post i claimed that "Tesla = fake it until you make it scam". In other posts ive claimed that Tesla is a bigger scam than what Theranos was. People will say it sells cars, its cant be a scam. Very true, the car part and the energy part of the company are not "fake it until you make it scams". What makes Tesla a fake it until you make it scam is the fact that Tesla would not have sold nearly as many of its cars and possibly even megapacks without the lies that have been perpetuated about Tesla to help pump it. Its valuation would be nowhere near what it is or peaked at and thus fewer investors could have purchased so many Teslas. Elon Musk would not be worth the over hundred billions hes worth, without the misleading claims, mostly by Mr Musk, about Teslas FSD software and what could be achieved by it in a rather short period of time. Reality is that true full self driving is decades away if ever achieved; i lean toward never because of natural phenomena that should make it impossible to safely achieve.
Its possible that Tesla produces a few robotaxis and tests them in cities like Cruise and Waymo do, but this would be just part of said fake it until it makes it scam as the underlying software is NOT safe for true full self driving. Thus, I'd expect Tesla to experience the same setbacks those companies have in the cities they operate in, struggle with expanding to other cities, or even continue to operate in the cities they are allowed to be in . In other-words, it will not achieve true self driving robotaxi network. At least its finally going to try and put the public at greater risk at the same time.
What constitutes a fake it until you make it scam?
it was arguably a referendum on “fake it till you make it” practices, such as intentionally overstating, and thereby misrepresenting, a fledgling company’s current capabilities, success, or profitability, while banking on the notion that its aspirations will eventually follow the desired trajectory and become a reality.
Is that not exactly what Elon Musk did when he made a series of promises 8 years ago that helped Tesla drive its valuation, sell more vehicles, and net him billions in gains via his enormous share count? This scheme was so successful that sales grew in part because a lot of people invested in TSLA, used their gains to buy 1 or more of Teslas vehicles; some of which then sold them for profit on the secondary market because of all the hype around Tesla coupled with shortage in supply. Without said fake it until you make it scam, Tesla and the greater EV market would likely be on its last breath; at least in the US and Europe.
Elon Musk’s Big Lie About Tesla Is Finally Exposed
Not long before the pandemic reared its ugly head, the brilliant, serial entrepreneur Elon Musk promised to roll out an Uber-like service enabled by self-driving Tesla vehicles. According to Musk, Tesla owners could expect to earn up to $30,000 per year in extra cash by lending their Teslas out to anyone in need of a ride. Owners and customers would transact on the “Tesla network.”
This self-driving technology already exists. At this point, the network can go live very soon, opening the world to an exciting new way to make money while you sleep.
Back in 2016, Elon Musk claimed that Tesla cars could “drive autonomously with greater safety than a person. Right now.” It was a lie, one that sent Tesla’s stock price soaring — and made Musk among the wealthiest people on the planet. That lie is now falling apart in the face of a new recall of 2 million Teslas. It’s also revealing to the broader public what close observers of Tesla have always known (and the company itself admits in the fine print of its legal agreements): Tesla’s so-called “self driving” technology works fine — as long as there’s a human behind the wheel, alert at all times.
Article fails to include that sales of Tesla vehicles would be nowhere near what Tesla has sold to date without these lies.
By this time Musk had MCed numerous stock price-spiking hype events around the technology, and had been collecting deposits from customers since late 2016 for a “Full Self-Driving” version of the technology. Despite the reported deaths and clear evidence that the only video of a driverless Tesla was heavily staged, even Musk admits that his hype around self-driving technology has been the central factor in the recent growth of his wealth to titanic proportions.
BYD thoughts of Self driving technology
“We think self-driving tech that’s fully separated from humans is very, very far away, and basically impossible,” Li Yunfei, a spokesperson for BYD, said in Mandarin, translated by CNBC.
“When we think about [self-driving tech] from all aspects, from human psychological safety needs, from ethics, from regulation, from technology — including application in this industry — we haven’t figured out [the logic] and we think it is probably a false proposition,” Li told reporters on the sidelines of the Shanghai auto show on Tuesday.
“There may be many industries and businesses that invest a lot of money on this [tech], and after investing for many years it will prove it leads nowhere,” he said.

Speaking of a Tesla killing its driver. Looks like 1 of 2 CMEs struck around the time this Tesla seemingly went out of control. G3 Geomagnetic storm conditions are now underway after a second CME. Sure enough a Tesla seems to have gone out of control early this morning in California.
Tesla driver killed in solo-vehicle crash in West Covina
West Covina Police Department officers responded to a traffic collision in the 1100 block of south Orange Ave. around 1:50 a.m.
Upon arrival, they located a person trapped inside the vehicle. West Covina Fire Department paramedics pronounced the person deceased at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation to determine if alcohol and/or speed were a factor before the crash.

Editorial: Telsa’s Autopilot may be ‘unsafe at any speed’
An accident in Maltby involving a Tesla and a motorcycle raises fresh concerns amid hundreds of crashes.
Last Friday, a 28-year-old motorcyclist died after he was struck from behind by a Tesla on Fales Road in Maltby and thrown from his bike. A Washington State Patrol report alleges that the 56-year-old driver of the vehicle had activated the 2022 Model S’s autopilot feature, which, as explained on Tesla’s website, is intended to match the speed of surrounding traffic and assist steering within a clearly marked lane.
Tesla owners and drivers are told — with prompts reminding before driving — that Autopilot and the self-driving feature, which adds capabilities including auto-steering and turns on city streets and streetlight and stop sign control, that the vehicle is not autonomous and requires “active driver supervision,” including keeping hands on the steering wheel.
The Tesla driver in the fatal Maltby crash told a trooper he was distracted by his phone prior to the accident. After determining the driver was not impaired, he was arrested and booked for investigation of vehicular homicide while driving distracted. The man posted $100,000 bail Sunday and was released from jail.
But last weekend’s fatal accident wasn’t an outlier.

The computer errors from outer space
With the rise of self-driving car technology, it's possible that computer systems on these vehicles could malfunction due to cosmic rays. What if, during an automated trip, imagery from a camera mounted at the front of the car became corrupted and the on-board computer failed to spot a person walking out in front of the vehicle?
However, the research is yet to be published and he says he's not allowed to reveal what the starting level of accuracy was during the experiments.
Such interventions could make self-driving cars of the future safer but they wouldn't eliminate the possibility of a cosmic ray causing other problems. And this raises an interesting conundrum for insurers.
"In a world of fully autonomous vehicles, how can you prove the accident happened because of cosmic rays?" says Rech. "That is very challenging. I mean, it's impossible, by definition." In ambiguous cases, disputes over whether a human or technology manufacturer – or space weather – was at fault might be difficult to resolve
Understand that EVs are just computers on wheels. So while Cosmic radiation/earth based radiation caused accidents are near impossible to prove, they can and do happen. Can even be emulated in a lab setting. THIS IS WHY SELF DRIVING VEHICLES WILL NEVER SAFELY REACH LEVEL 5! To make matters worse the earths magnetic field is weakening which will mean more solar/cosmic radiation will enter our planet as well as more EM radiation exposure from the earth leading to more computer errors. Incidentally its been claimed that SpaceX and other manufacturer satellite debris will accelerate this weakening process weakening as much as 50% over the remainder of the 21st century.
RECREATING THE “STUCK THROTTLE” PROBLEM ON A TOYOTA
While most passenger vehicles older than about 15-20 years controlled the throttle with a cable connected directly from the throttle body to the accelerator pedal, most manufacturers have switched to a fly-by-wire system which takes sensor input from the accelerator pedal and sends that position information to the vehicle’s computer which in turn adjusts the throttle position. This might be slightly cheaper to manufacture, but introduces a much larger number of failure modes to a critical system.
[Colin] is recreating one of those failure modes by introducing an electromagnetic pulse at a specific point on the vehicle’s computer. In the real world, this could be caused by certain forms of EMF potentially including cosmic rays. This introduces a memory fault which the computer doesn’t seem capable of recognizing or clearing. With the right set of circumstances that [Colin] can reliably produce, the computer eventually will drive the throttle fully open, and the condition can only be corrected by power-cycling the vehicle’s computer.
