BUY  VODAFONE

TARGET 185p

STOP 144p

Mobile telecom giant. Providing voice and data communications globally.

2007 was a good year for Vodafone with the shares price getting near to 200p.Vodafone has also switched strategies to the emerging markets via various subsidiaries and joint ventures. Now having a presence across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and the U.S. This new strategy looks to be paying off. The last set of figures showed good mobile data growth and beat estimates on 13 November 2007, helping the business remain in sound health despite challenging markets.

Also worth noting, on April 28th  Verizon Wireless, a joint venture between Vodafone and Verizon, exceeded analyst's expectations for new subscribers.

Vodafone has been a bit overlooked recently, and after a strong fall last year from near 200p now look's good value. In recent months they have been testing a key long-term support level of 150p, but now the shares look to be recovering off this key support level.
