 ADVFN, incorporated in the UK, is a global stocks and shares information website. Originally a UK-based site, the company currently operates in the US, UK & Brazil. Global expansion has been a key area for ADVFN in recent years. The company has a joint venture in Brazil a country in which ADVFN has a geo- and language-targeted financial sites. This is in addition to its US, French, German, Italian, Canadian, Japanese and Indian ADVFN financial sites.
In September of 2006, ADVFN acquired InvestorsHub.com and Silicon Investor - two top five online investment community websites in the North American market.
In February of 2006, ADVFN bought Equity Holdings Limited - the owner of the well-known research brand Equity Development.
